"Il Capricorno" is located in a fabulous position at the centre of the Sauze d’Oulx resort, part of the Via Lattea circuit, which was the location for Freestyle competitions during the Torino 2006 Olympics. Alpine skiing in Sauze d'Oulx first began in the early 1900s, when the Swiss national Adolf Kind, after carrying out early trials on the peaks of Giaveno, introduced alpine skiing to the village. Today the one thousand residents of Sauze d'Oulx swell to 25,000 during the winter season, with tourists from all over Europe as well as a small local British community. |
